Bank streamlines employee Labor and Wage tracking for 600 employees across 43 locations

 

When a regional bank used an outdated employee time tracking system, supervisors were forced to manually process vacation requests from over 600 full- and part-time employees. It was a time consuming process, prone to delays and errors, and an administrative burden given that employees are distributed throughout 43 locations. Now, the bank drastically reduces the time and burden once needed to track vacation time, benefits and time/labor data by utilizing Attendance on Demand.

Web Hosted

The web-hosted time and attendance system Attendance on Demand is delivered over highly secure networks on a monthly subscription basis to CommunityONE Bank, the North Carolina-based banking subsidiary of FNB United Corp. The bank pays only for active employees each month, tracking labor information from 600 staff members across 43 locations; scheduling employees; and sharing data with payroll software.

The bank selected the monthly online service for ease of compatibility with payroll, access to real-time labor information, improved time off tracking, and its ease of use for all workers.

Self Service

Employees track start/end times, departmental transfers and other tasks via an internet browser. Employees punch in from any location and have the power to access their own employee history, paid time off and personal information.

Explains Lisa Ritch, Payroll Officer for CommunityONE, "Attendance on Demand gives us an advantage in that our employees now manage their own time off requests. In past years, supervisors manually tracked requests from full- and part-time employees and it was an administrative burden. Plus, supervisors would estimate staffing levels for peak vacation times which was a hassle. Attendance on Demand is easy to use for our employees, tracking leave requests online and automating approvals."

The bank has seen an overall reduction in the amount of administrative effort once needed for the time tracking and payroll process, and has confidence that payroll totals are more accurate.
